Supervisors will be responsible for the following:
Schedules staff to ensure appropriate staff to resident ratios.
Ensures appropriate environments in the facility for health, safety, nutrition, and daily activities of residents and staff.
Monitors and supervises the delivery of care and services by trained staff.
Provides training and support to Direct Support Professionals.
Participates in the development of Individual Support Plans.
Plans for and distributes program funds to meet program and individual needs, to include meals, recreation and community integration.
Performs all duties as assigned to the Direct Support Professional.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Supervisor must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, and have demonstrated through previous work and life experience an ability to maintain a stable environment and to provide guidance to people with Intellectual Disabilities.
Supervisor must demonstrate good knowledge and practice of human rights policies and procedures.
Supervisor must demonstrate an ability to design effective staff schedules; to appropriately manage program funds; to maintain clean safe environments, to plan healthy meals. They must have good oral and written communication skills, have a positive and caring attitude, and enjoy working with all people.
